How to get here
Grindelwald is easy to reach — by scenic railway through Interlaken, or by car up the valley. Choose the way that suits you best.
Getting here by train
Grindelwald is reached by rail via Interlaken Ost. From there the Bernese Oberland Railway (BOB) climbs up to Grindelwald, and the Wengernalpbahn continues from the village up to Kleine Scheidegg and the Jungfraujoch.
- Intercity trains from Zurich, Bern and Basel all connect at Interlaken Ost.
- The BOB train from Interlaken Ost to Grindelwald takes about 35 minutes.
- Grindelwald station sits in the village centre, a five-minute walk from the hotel.
- Taxis wait outside the station if you're travelling with luggage.
Getting here by car
Take the motorway to Interlaken, then follow the main valley road up to Grindelwald — about 20 minutes from Interlaken. In winter, snow tyres or chains are recommended.
